Eco-Therapy helps us to learn and grow from the vast intelligence within Nature. In conventional therapy and counselling we seek support from another person who helps us explore our thoughts, feelings and behaviours so we can develop a better understanding of ourselves and of others. However relying solely our relationships with people can limit us to thinking in just one way. Sometimes we can be aware of our past and realise we are stuck with our usual thoughts and way of behaving but nevertheless we still struggle to be who we want to be now, and find it hard to be at peace with ourselves and the world around us.
Seeing ourselves and our situation through the lens of nature we get a whole new perspective. Working through our personal and professional dilemmas with an eco therapist in nature can lead to new insights which transform us in ways that might not happen indoors
Nature shows us how to grow; how to become adaptable, responsive, innovative and creative; we can learn to become flexible and resilient enough to meet life’s challenges. Eco-therapy does not focus only on what feels wrong, it helps us see our innate wholeness so that we can expand our inner capacity and strengths .
At True North I will guide and support you to explore the changes you wish to make with the natural world as a sounding board whilst we enjoy being out in the elements. By the end of the session you will know what you need to do and be ready to apply the insights you found in nature into day to day life.
